Decoding the Bass Guitar

Decoding the Bass GuitarThe bass guitar may seem like a simple-enough instrument to play but the truth is, there's more to it than just plucking a single note at a time. True bass technique includes chords and scales, and not to mention the different finger styles like slapping and popping.

Guitar learning materials are out there. There are a ton of online and offline—both paid and free—guitar materials available but good bass lessons and programs are scarce. Seasoned bass player Jonathan Boettcher knows exactly this which is why he tasked it on himself to create an all-out online bass learning program. Different in Decoding the Bass Guitar is that it is not a "book." With the advent of the internet and technology, Jonathan Boettcher used a more true-to-life teaching approach by using videos. Imagine trying to learn slap and pop technique from finger illustrations. Now, if the same is done in front of you—by a real live teacher—wouldn't it be easier to emulate?

The material is two hours long. The approach may be different but this is a lesson in theory. Plus, our favorite—bonuses. There are $30 worth of bonuses including bass-learning cheat sheets and jam tracks. Also, member or buyers are entitled to free lifetime updates to the video. All this comes with a lifetime 100% money-back guarantee.

Decoding the Bass Guitar Review

Having one of these in video format is a refreshing change. If you plan on buying this, read the entire site completely. This is not your regular bass exercise and bass riffs video. This is a deeper understanding of theory, playing mindset and the bass guitar in an upfront video conversation. What you will find here is they type that can be read. So, think of this as a theory book for those lazy to read.

The contents are good and semi-advanced. Most of what he teaches are not unique and not common knowledge. Most of the basic common sense theory make sense and at the same time surprising. The bonuses are nice but the jam track is nothing special.

Overall I would have to say 8 out of 10 for the value of this product.
